Our Priorities
In Foodnomics, we recognize a long-standing problem as poverty and hunger, and we are determined to
address it with the next generation of the world's leaders. The world produces more than enough food
to feed its people, yet millions of people are still hungry, struggling to find their next meal. A
contributing factor to this problem is waste. All across America, 60 million tons of food are being
discarded each year, This is especially prevalent in dining halls across the country. But together,
we can lessen this problem. By founding a chapter at your school and using the resources that we
provide, you can collect data on how much food is being wasted and its monetary value, then work
with your dining hall staff to take appropriate measures to fix the problem by saving both money and
resources. By influencing your immediate community, you are helping your locality, but collectively
we can take on the world's most important problem, one meal at a time.
